When your account is created or you complete onboarding, we collect: company name, contact name, email address, phone number, shop address, state of operations, and tax exemption status and certificate.

1.2 Order Information

We collect order data including project numbers, customer last names, job site addresses, product selections, quantities, pricing, and payment method. This information is retained for a minimum of seven years for audit and tax compliance purposes.

1.3 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor. Iowa Fence Supply does not store full payment card numbers or bank account numbers on our servers. Our payment processor's privacy policy governs the handling of payment data.

1.4 Usage Data

We collect log data including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken within the Portal. This data is used to maintain security, improve the Portal, and detect unauthorized access.

1.5 Company Logo

If you upload a company logo during onboarding, it is stored on our secure file storage system and displayed within the Portal.

We use the information we collect to:

Process and fulfill your orders

Send order status and account notifications via SMS

Calculate and apply contractor-tier pricing

Maintain your account and order history

Comply with tax, legal, and audit obligations

3. SMS COMMUNICATIONS

By using the Portal, you consent to receive SMS notifications from Iowa Fence Supply regarding your orders, account status, and draft cart reminders. Message frequency varies based on order activity. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS notifications by contacting us at info@iowafencesupply.com, though this may affect your ability to receive order status updates.

4. INFORMATION SHARING

Iowa Fence Supply does not sell, rent, or trade your personal or business information to third parties. We may share information with:

Service providers who assist in operating the Portal (payment processing, file storage, SMS delivery) — solely to perform those services

Our suppliers, to the extent necessary to fulfill your orders

Law enforcement or government agencies when required by law or valid legal process

5. DATA SECURITY

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and JWT-based session authentication. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. DATA RETENTION

Order records and associated account data are retained for a minimum of seven years to satisfy tax and audit requirements. Account information is retained for the duration of your business relationship with Iowa Fence Supply and for a reasonable period thereafter.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by contacting us at info@iowafencesupply.com. Note that order history and financial records may be retained regardless of deletion requests to satisfy legal obligations.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the Portal or SMS. Continued use of the Portal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
